The Role
As a research associate, you’ll play a key role on our R&D team supporting the development and testing of our interventions in human cell models of inflammation and neurodegeneration. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their scientific career who wants to grow within a cross-disciplinary team and contribute to high-impact translational research.
Responsibilities
Support and carry out the execution of in vitro experiments in cell culture models, including human immune, glial, or neuronal cells exposed to EMF protocols
Perform cell- and molecular-based assays that assess ROS production, mitochondrial activity, cytokine levels, autophagy, and survival
Carry out imaging workflow including immunostaining, fluorescence microscopy, and image quantification using tools like ImageJ or Napari.
Maintain lab stocks, prepare reagents, and ensure accurate data entry in notebooks and digital systems
Work collaboratively with scientists and engineers to develop and improve protocols and interpret experimental results
Qualifications
A degree in biology, neuroscience, biomedical engineering, or a related field
At least 1–2 years of hands-on lab experience, including coursework, internships, or employment in biotech or academic labs
Experience with mammalian cell culture and molecular cell biology techniques (e.g. ELISA, qPCR, immunofluorescence staining, western blotting)
Experience with flow cytometry and PBMC isolation
Experience in neurobiology, cell stress signaling, or noninvasive stimulation is a plus, but not required
Detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Authorization to work in the United States
